Health, Security, Safety, & Environmental, HSSE

Oil and gas wells will extract sulfide from hydrogen, and expose the staff to hydrogen-sulfide gas. The three best practices to help avoid injuries and death are careful to control the hydrogen-sulfide gas; proper planning; and training programs for employees.

Oil and gas and marine workers who are exposed to dangerous environments,  including chemicals and oil in substances produced and used may suffer from occupational lung, skin, and other organ diseases at rates dependent on the quantity and period of exposure time.

Those exposed to dangerous levels of noise may suffer noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). Other hazards include confined spaces that may injure untrained workers or threaten their lives.

The objective of occupational safety and health risk management is to identify and assess workplace-existing safety and health hazards, and to define appropriate control and recovery steps

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Guidelines are technical reference documents with general and industry-specific examples of Good International Industry Practice (GIIP).

When one or more members of the World Bank Group are involved in a project, these EHS Guidelines are applied as required by their respective policies and standards.

These industry sector EHS guidelines are designed to be used together with the General EHS Guidelines document, which provides guidance to users on common EHS issues potentially applicable to all industry sectors.

Every employee owes it a duty to the company, to him/herself as well as unto others to exercise the greatest care in his work and to use the best endeavors to prevent the occurrence of undue accidents.

All staff on our project sites and in offices are also expected to cooperate with the company in the prevention of accidents and must comply with such Health, Safety, and Environment regulations pertaining to their places and mode of work as are applicable from time to time.

Our company operates in a highly regulated environment. We work in high-risk environments including our offices, and project sites, both ours and those of our clients and customers.

It is therefore legally binding and ethically demanded to understand, abide and enforce publicized regulations relating to the company business, and projects specific to your work, and generally.
